December 8th was my first time participating in a Telematic performance. It was an across time and space concert involved in three university. (Queen’s University Belfast; NYU Expanded Music; University of Tromsø) Queen’s University Belfast is located in Northern Ireland. University of Tromsø is seated in Norway. NYU is situated New York City. The concert was Impossible to complete when network technology was limited. It took a great challenge on long- distance location, which was hard to imagine in 15 years ago. After spent several hours to set up and dress rehearsal, the concert has started. My work was super easy, which was violin Improvisation with other Musicians and a little dance movement, which has practice on class several times. Musical improvisation comes from the idea of Jazz music. Play it by ear was the core idea. The Dance movement with Belfast and Tromso has realized the without image or voice delay communication. Far From Shores We Know concert has successfully concluded conducted by professor John Gilbert.
